LETS CREATE & CRAFT #105

CHALLENGE #105

 The theme is...
USE DIES OR PUNCHES

My DT sample for this challenge is a simple birthday card.
I used a lovely floral card from one of the GRAPHIC45 collections to mat & layer the base card.
I used a flower edge die cut frame, cut out on my Silhouette Cameo, for the centre.
I added a sentiment to the centre of that frame.
I cut out some small flowers in the same pretty flower and white card as I used for the mat. I added a pink pearl to the centre of the flowers.
I cut out a delicate butterfly using the same flower card for the base and white card for the top layer.
I did the same for a bow, added a pearl to the centre of this also, then I placed it at the bottom centre of the card.
I added some tiny pink stick-on pearls to the body of the butterfly and more pearls to the top left corner of the card.
To finish it all off I cut out a card stand for the back of the card on the Silhouette Cameo.
I hope you like what I did.

Hugs
Mary

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #104

Theme is..
 PEARLS OR LACE....
I chose lace for my DT inspiration.

I made a small gift bag using a cutting file from Silhouette Store and cut it out on my Silhouette Cameo electronic cutting machine.
Its a very basic bag but you can do so many things with it and it is useful for those small gifts.

I used papers and various embellishments purchased from SCRAP & CRAFT
The lace flower on back was purchased from Brenda Exeter on Facebook...who sells fabulous ribbons and lace!
Flowers on the tag are from PETAL LU

Look forward to seeing all the entries!

Would also like to enter this in the following challenges...

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #103

CHALLENGE #103

Theme is...
BUTTERFLIES OR BIRDS.
For my DT inspiration I decided on a birdcage...

The cutting file for the birdcage was part of the Playful Parlour collection from SVG CUTS
The bird on branch and butterflies are from Silhouette Store
I cut them all out using my Silhouette Cameo (I love my Cameo)
The flowers & lace are from THE RIBBON GIRL
The ribbon is from my stash.

I added the flowers to the top of the cage and a bow made with the ribbon.
Around the bottom I added the cotton lace.
I cut out the little bird and sat him on the branch.
I also added one or two butterflies for decoration...
and some silk petals to the floor of the birdcage.

I am looking forward to seeing all the lovely creations for this challenge.

Happy crafting and good luck in the challenge!

So here is my DT inspiration card....

I used layers of maroon and black to create this car card.
I just used a plain, simple sentiment as it was a male card.
Men dont seem to like their cards too fussy lol.

I hope there will be lots of entries again this month
And I hope too my card gives you just a little bit of inspiration.

I look forward to once again seeing all your entries.
Good luck to all who enter!

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #100

Hello everyone!
I have been invited by to join LETS CREATE & CRAFT Design Team!
What a lovely group of ladies!
I want to send a huge 'Thank you' to Eileen Dobson for the invite.
This is a new experience for me and I hope I can learn lots from this new venture along with making lots of new friends.
The challenge for April is ... SEASONAL FLOWERS

I loved making this card as I am addicted to flowers!

To make this card I have used....

White card
Blue vellum
TATTERED LACE Embossing Folder Fretwork Lace
Tiny self adhesive gems
Paper Forget-me-Nots from PETAL LU
Blue striped ribbon
Various files cut out with my Silhouette Cameo

I embossed the layers and made a pocket.
I used blue distress ink on the edges of all the layers.
I cut out a tag and wrote a sentiment on it, tied a piece of blue striped ribbon through the hole at the top and slipped the tag into the pocket of the card.
I made a tiny envelope, inked the edges and popped that in the pocket too.
I stuck fern and leaves to the front of the pocket, stuck several tiny vellum flowers on the leaves then added a clear gem to the centre of each flower.
I then added some Forget-me-Not paper flowers from my stash to form a small bouquet and added a bow in the blue striped ribbon.
I added some butterflies to various parts of the card.
On the back of the card I added an easel stand.
The stand will fold flat so the card will fit nicely into an envelope for posting.

I hope my card gives you lots of ideas and inspiration
I also hope you will join in our challenge at LETS CRAFT & CREATE and be in with a chance of winning the fantastic prize which you can read about on Lets Craft & Create blog.
I am looking forward to seeing all the wonderful entries.
Thank you for visiting my blog and good luck to everyone who enters the challenge.

MY NEWEST MAKE

So this is my newest make and my first attempt at the vintage/shabby chic style card.
The card itself was from a tutorial by TERESA ALLDAY and I would like to thank her for sharing her work and tutorials so I can learn and get inspiration from her.
I welcome all your comments but please be gentle with me lol.

I used papers from SCRAP & CRAFT
Petaloo flowers from SCRAP & CRAFT
Embellishments and lace trim from SWEET PARIS collection from DOVECRAFT

I am fairly pleased with the end result considering it is a first attempt.
This will be going off to USA for a young ladys 18th birthday.
I hope she likes it!!
